Connect to PSC Wi-Fi Network: LINUX
PSC Wi-Fi Overview
Connect to PSC with
Android Apple iOS ChromeOS Linux Windows
IMPORTANT! In order to configure a device for PSC network access it must have Internet access. Devices can be set up while off campus using your home Wi-Fi network or cellular data connection, or you can temporarily use PSCvisitors if you are on campus. Also note that the installation process may vary somewhat across different linux flavors.
-
If you have an existing profile for the PSC network in your device open your Wi-Fi settings and "forget" it. If not, you can skip to Step 2.
-
Launch your favorite web browser and navigate to https://wifi.pensacolastate.edu.
-
Your Linux OS should be automatically detected. If the detection was incorrect select the correct OS in the drop-down menu. Click JoinNow.
-
You will be prompted to download a file named SecureW2_JoinNow.run. Choose Save File to download the application to your default download directory.
-
Open a command terminal, change directory (cd) to your Downloads folder and run the downloaded file using the sh command.
-
You will now be prompted to sign in using your PSC network/email account and password in your browser.
- Once you sign in the script should continue and, if you're on campus, you should be able to connect to PSC. If you're not on campus you will get a message indicating that configuration succeeded but the network is not in range. However, when you arrive on campus you should automatically connect to the Wi-Fi network.
