View the Academics Tab in Student Profile
The Academics tab of your Student Profile displays your academic data, with tabs at the top of the screen including: Overview, Current Classes, Plan, Academic History, Completed Programs (if applicable), Transfer Credit (if applicable), Academic Progress, and External Records. Some of these tabs may not be visible if there is no data for that topic.
To access the Academics Tab of your Student Profile, follow these steps. This function is not available on mobile.
1. Click on your profile picture in the upper right corner of the page.
2. Select View Profile.
3. Select Academics from the menu.
This will open the Academics Overview screen. The information in the Profile Academics tab may be different than the Academics app on the Workday menu.
Overview Tab
The Overview tab displays the names, dates, and status of your program(s) of study. From this page, you can:
- Request a change in your program of study using the Request buttons on the right of the table.
- Add a program of study.
- Add an advisory program to an A.A. program.
Current Classes Tab
This tab will display your currently enrolled courses, with columns listing details about each class: Course Listing, Credit Hours, Grading Basis, Section, Instructional Format, Delivery Mode, Meeting Patterns, Registration Status, Instructor, Start Date, and End Date. At the far right of the table, you may see options to Drop or Swap courses if you're within the open registration or drop/add windows. To learn more about dropping or adding courses, view the Workday Help article Drop, Swap, and Withdraw from Courses. You may have to scroll to the right to see all the columns. The Calendar View button gives a blocked time view of your schedule. Below the table are your total enrolled credit hours and your load status.
Plan Tab
You should work with your advisor to create an Academic Plan, which your advisor must approve. View the Find Your Advisor in Workday article to learn how to contact your advisor.
On the Plan tab, you can:
- View your Academic Plan.
- Request changes to your plan and approval by your advisor.
- Create or view a pre-Registration Plan.
Your Academic Plan recommends required and elective courses to complete your program of study. A Pre-Registration Plan lets you create and save a trial schedule for a future academic period. You can register for classes quickly and easily using the links in your Pre-Registration Plan or your Academic Plan.
An Academic Plan or Pre-Registration Plan does not register you for classes. They are both advisory tools to organize your courses before you register. You can use either one to register more quickly, but they are only planning tools.
Academic History Tab
The Academic History tab displays all the courses you’ve taken, organized by Program of Study, then by Academic Period. For each course, it shows your grade, credit hours earned, and grade points earned. Cumulative totals of your GPA and credit hours, class standing, and awards are shown below the table.
Earned Credentials Tab
If you’ve completed any programs at PSC, they will be listed here. Otherwise, this tab will not be visible.
Transfer Credit Tab
If you’ve transferred course credits from other institutions and PSC has accepted them for credit, you'll see a table with your transfer credit information, including courses, grades, credit hours, and the source and name of the original coursework. Otherwise, this tab will not be visible.
Academic Progress Tab
This tab displays the status of the courses you need to take for your program of study, broken down by Requirement, Status, Remaining, Registrations Used, Academic Period, Credit Hours, and Grade. It shows the number of credit hours and classes you've taken or still need to take for each program. A graph at the top shows a summary of each program’s progress, and detailed course information is at the bottom.
External Records Tab
Any transcripts and test scores you submitted to the College will be displayed here.
