Student Action Items and Holds indicate important tasks that must be completed that may delay or prevent your registration. Follow the steps below, on either Workday desktop or mobile, to view your Action Items and Holds.

My Tasks Folder

The best indicator that you have outstanding Action Items on your academic account is by reviewing all your tasks in your Workday My Tasks folder (formerly Inbox)

To open My Tasks, click on the inbox icon on desktop at the top right of the home dashboard or on mobile at the bottom of the home dashboard.

Workday Dashboard

Your Workday home dashboard displays the same outstanding Action Items in the Awaiting Your Action box.

Academics and Finances Dashboard

The Academics and Finances dashboards also display outstanding Action Items. To access the Academics or Finances app in Workday, open them from Your Top Apps, Menu, or View All Apps.

Academics Dashboard - The Academics dashboard also displays hold details. You can also find academic-related announcements, your current class schedule, your advisor contact, and academic resources.

Finances Dashboard - Besides the steps awaiting your action, the Finances dashboard displays finance-related announcements, account balances, and student financial resources.

Student Profile

You can even access action items and hold details in your Student Profile.

1. Open your profile by clicking on your profile picture/person icon.

2. Select View Profile.

3. Click Action Items and Holds in the blue sidebar. If you're a student and employee, first click your student record on the right-hand side of the page. View the Default Profile View - Student and Employee Accounts article to learn more about these views.
