Student Finances Overview in Workday

On the Workday desktop, you can view all available financial information in the Finances app. On Workday mobile, you can view slightly different financial information in the Finances dashboard and the Finances app. There are separate steps for desktop and mobile. The table below shows which information is available from which source.

1098-T Information

Print My 1098-T |
View, print, and manage delivery and elections for the 1098-T, which reports qualified tuition and related educational expenses to you and the IRS. You or your parent/guardian may be able to claim these expenses as education-related tax credits. You can view the 1098-T on a desktop, mobile Finances dashboard, and mobile Finances app, but only a desktop allows you to print and manage details. |

Desktop
1. Open the Finances app.
2. Read the announcements for upcoming due dates.
3. Review My Financial Aid Action Items.
Go to your Workday My Tasks folder (formerly Inbox) to view any outstanding action items that need your attention.
4. Return to the Finances app, review Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Status, Charges by Due Date, Account Balances, or Charges by Course. Click View More for more details on any of these items.
5. Explore the Student Finances menu on the right side of the page. Use the chart above to see what each area contains and where you can view it on the Workday desktop and mobile app.
Mobile App
These steps and screenshots could appear slightly different depending on the type of device and software you’re using.
1. Select View All on the Home screen.
2. Open Dashboards from the Apps screen.
3. Select Finances from the dashboards menu.
4. Scroll down the page to see all the options you can view.
5. If available, select View More at the bottom of any section to see more options.
The table above shows what you can view in the Finances dashboard and the Finances app.
The Finances app - on the main apps page - is slightly different than the Finances dashboard. In the Finances app under My Account, you can view your Account Activity, Statement, and 1098-T. In the Finances app under Financial Aid, you can view your Financial Aid Review (Screens 1 and 2 below) and your estimated costs based on your tuition, fees, books, and financial aid awards (Screen 3 below), which are unavailable in the Finances dashboard.
