- Apply for FAFSA at studentaid.gov starting in the December before the academic year you need financial aid (e.g., for aid for the 2025-26 academic year, apply in December 2024).
- Review information on financial requests to see if you’re eligible for reduced charges or financial aid for specific populations (e.g., veterans, homeless, Florida Prepaid Plan, etc.).
- Complete all actions you receive in your Workday My Tasks folder and monitor it closely for FAFSA and award updates.
- Stay informed by viewing announcements about financial aid, estimated costs, award letters, deadlines, and more under Financial Aid in the Finances App.
- Monitor your financial statement to confirm receipt of aid and that fees are paid. Verify refunds via BankMobile.
- Monitor your Satisfactory Academic Progress Status in the Finances App to make sure you keep your financial aid.
- Contact the Financial Aid department or your advisor if you have any questions.
