Financial Request Types (This list is subject to change, so access the request types in Workday to see available options.)
-
DCF Independent Living & Adoption - Complete this questionnaire to qualify for a DCF waiver. Fee exemptions and waivers are types of financial assistance authorized by Florida Statute that provide opportunities for many students to attend college at reduced tuition and fee costs or even free. A student is eligible for the fee exemption if the student was the subject of a shelter proceeding, a dependency proceeding, or a termination of parental rights proceeding.
-
Dependency Override - Complete this request for a dependency override. A dependency override is a status granted by a school’s financial aid office that allows you to exclude your parent’s information from your FAFSA even if you’re originally considered dependent. This can qualify you for significantly more financial aid if your parents have income and assets that would make you ineligible.
-
Direct Loan Request - Submit this request for direct loans. You must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits in your program of study to submit your loan request.
- Homeless Form - Submit this request for Florida student homelessness verification and tuition and fee exemption purposes.
-
Florida Prepaid Plan - If you have a Florida Prepaid plan to use for tuition costs, please submit this request.
-
Non-Florida Resident - Florida High School Graduate Out-of-State Fee Waiver - This request is intended for students who need an out-of-state waiver and meet the qualifications established by the Florida House Bill 851 for students unable to meet residency requirements for tuition purposes.
-
Professional Judgement - Submit this request to explain any unique circumstances impacting your ability to pay for tuition. Our Financial Aid department will review to determine if an override can occur with your dependency status on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
-
Request for Refund - To request a refund for your current enrollment due to unexpected reasons or errors, submit this request. No refunds are granted after the midpoint of any class.
-
Satisfactory Appeal Progress - Your responsibility is to earn grades that maintain Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress (FASAP). FASAP is evaluated at the end of each semester of enrollment. The required standards are described in detail in the Pensacola State College catalog. The College has a process by which you may appeal for eligibility reinstatement if you can document the mitigating circumstances that resulted in your failure to meet the required standards. Submit this request to provide those details.
-
State Employee - Use this request if you're a state employee and need to provide the State Employee Tuition Waiver form signed by your supervisor.
-
VA Certification and Waiver - Submit this questionnaire for certification of VA educational benefits or waivers for tuition or out-of-state fees for eligible veterans not using VA benefits.
