Getting a New Phone?
If you are getting a new phone, please make sure to review the steps below so you do not lose connectivity to Pensacola State College technology resources.
Navigate to mfa.pensacolastate.edu and confirm your "Default sign-in method".

How to migrate the Microsoft Authenticator to your new phone:
Summary: Open Microsoft Authenticator on your old phone and navigate to Settings to enable cloud backups. Open Microsoft Authenticator on your new phone and press "Begin Recovery".
- Turn on the Backup Option on your old phone. (You will need a personal Microsoft account to do this. iOS users also need a personal iCloud account.)
- Open Microsoft Authenticator on your new phone and "Begin Recovery".
- Sign in to your personal Microsoft account you used on your old phone.
- Test the new phone to make sure you receive the authentication on the new device.
- If your new phone requires that you revalidate your account, select the QR code option and scan the QR code below.
- Remove the account from your old phone.

How to authenticate using text (SMS):
Are you getting a new phone number?

- You do not need to do anything other than confirm your "Security info" is correct.
- It is recommended that you have a backup form of authentication, should you not be able to receive a text.

- It is recommended that you install the Microsoft Authenticator app on your old phone.
