Student Authorized Party Payments
Students may set up an Authorized Party to allow their parents, spouse, guardians, or other third parties to view their student account activity, make payments, and set up payment plans on their behalf. The student should follow the instructions below to set up an authorized party.
- Open the Finances app.
- Under My Account, click Nelnet-Make a Payment or Enroll in a Payment Plan.
An external page will open with PSC and Nelnet's logo. The first time you will need to set up your account.
3. Select Add an Authorized Party from your Home screen in your Nelnet account.
4. Enter the Authorized Party's information.
5. Select Save and Send.
Your authorized party will now be reflected on your My Profile screen, under Manage Payers. Giving authorized access to Nelnet is limited to your Nelnet account only.
Instructions for your Authorized Party
- Open the email from Nelnet Campus Commerce and click Create Account.
- Your authorized party will need to provide the answer to the authorized question set up by you when you entered the Authorized Party's information.
- Create a Nelnet account (or use a current account if they already have one).
- Now they can set up payments for your account.
